The 19th Academic Seminar of Graduate Student Network in Sociology and Anthropology, 2020 "Dwelling Belonging and Becoming"
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thepin Patcharanurak, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wasan Punyakaew, Head of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology along with faculty members of the Faculty of Social Sciences welcomed Dr. Komatra Chuengsatiansup, M.D., Director of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre (SAC) on the occasion of joining the seminar and giving a special lecture on the topic "Medical Anthropology: COVID - 19 and the New Epidemic in an anthropological Perspective" at the 19th Academic Seminar of Graduate Student Network in Sociology and Anthropology, 2020, between 6-7 August 2020 at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University.
Hosted by the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Faculty of Social Sciences Chiang Mai University, the academic event was held with the theme "Dwelling Belonging and Becoming", with a special lecture and round table discussion on the topic " Dwelling Belonging and Becoming: Reflecting on the current Sociology and Anthropology Studies in Thailand”. The main activity was the presentation of more than 40 research works on various topics in the fields of sociology and anthropology, such as religion, belief, ritual, ecology, resources, migration, economy and life in digital society, etc.
The 20th seminar on graduate student network in sociology and anthropology will be held in 2021 and hosted by Faculty of Sociology and Anthropology. Thammasat University.
